Lilly's Taco Costume was far and away the easiest to make. Its just a couple of layers of felt with some poster board glued in between to give the shell some structure. From there, I just added strips of "lettuce" and bits of "tomato" along the edges. Lilly asked me to make her a "tomato" hair clip to complete the look.

Step 9: Iron Taco Shell Seams and Add Foam. Iron down the taco shell seam you just sewed and press a 1/2" hem along the bottom edge. You'll need to make diagonal snips in all the inside corners in order to get that hem. Next, stuff the taco shell with your foam and pin the edges together. Sew with a 1/8" seam.

Step 5. Allow the hot glue to dry completely. To finish your costume, you'll need to cut a hole in the center (measure your child to make sure the hole isn't too small) and then add velcro straps. Add the straps to both ends and then cut out strips of yellow felt to hot glue on to make it look more polished.
