Naugles was founded in Riverside in 1970 and in 1988 the chain merged with Del Taco, this is probably why the food and menu looks and tastes so similar to Del Taco (another reason why I wanted to try them out). In 1995 the last Naugles closed but nor for good, they made a comeback in 2015 and they now have three locations in Stanton, Huntington.

Naugles. Naugles, in all (or most) of its former glory. It was the Betamax of Southern California Mexican fast-food chains: the little guy that eventually got out-competed by the inferior Taco Bell and eventually swallowed up altogether by the mediocre Del Taco.
